I am bit old and my Persian friend Pervaiz used to call me one thing that I look like “KHUSH DAMAEN”
What it means??
Can anybody translate it to me?
Cause he smiles and don’t tell me the meaning
Is this a bad or evil character in Persian society?

How do you say “Random” in Farsi? I look up and find:

تصادفى، اتفاقى، بى نقشه، بدون ترتيب

بدون ترتيب is more like “non-sequitor”, right?

Which one of the others captures “random” the best?

I like to say “that was random” a lot. Or just, when something weird happens, like when YOU walk by, an exclamation of “random” would be appropriate.

My favorite word these days: Assets. As in

Well then why didn’t you list “wheelbarrow” among our assets?

So I’m looking in the dictionary and it says:
dArAi - دارايى
ne’mat - نعمت
mu (or mow) habat/hebat (?) - موهبت
emtiAz - امتياز

This is why dictionaries can be useless. Now, if they had it in a sentence, then I’d know which one was the best pick.

Not sure I understand the question. The Persian words for student are dAnesh Amuz - دانش آموز - or dAnesh ju - دانش جو - or mohsel محصل. I think the quiz is asking about the word - tAleb - طالب - which I think has Arabic roots and refers more usually to a seminary student, a seeker. tAleb, plural is tAlebAn - in the news more usually as Taliban - طالبان

Anyone else have insight?
