I hope someone could help me. I have spent hours online trying to figure out what the Persian word LOOKS LIKE for, FATHER and DAUGHTER. I found something on this website for FATHER but I need a bigger picture. My Father and I are very close. Truly best friends. Fathers Day is this weekend and Im taking him to get a tattoo. Im want to get something that means “FATHER” but not in English or CHINESE. Or anything “NESE” for that matter. Its too common to put CHINESE lettering on ones body. And I think the Persian Language is just very Unique and very Beautiful. And here is where I found the meaning for “FATHER” or “PEDAR”.

If someone could please send me a link or send me anything to help end this LONG search.

How old is old? Where is the cut off line for men? How about women? Can it be moved up or down and sideways? Who knows? In the west, if one crosses the line, all they get is a look and a nod of the head, as if to say: “poor thing, does not realize he or she is dead.” If, however one even dares to approach it, let alone to crossit in the east, the whole town, including the family, friends, neighbors shopkeepers and even beggars in the streets, will tackle you to the ground for such an act of gross impropriety. So, Beware and take care! This is where angels fear to tread.

OK, maybe you don’t say “Blues” in Persian. Abi’at

How about qam? غم

Whatever. The point is, holidays are over, guests have left, food was consumed, it’s back to work. What a let down! (Oh, hey, Happy New Year Everyone!)

And I have to get word out about this site (number one task on to do list, send out emails about fabulous new forums to people). But am I in the mood for that? NO! I’m blue!

Part of me wants to be cheerful and not feel this way, but the more enthusiastic part of me wants to WHINE AWAY!

What’s Whine in Persian?

زوزه كشيدن ، نق نق كردن ، زق زق كردن، غرغر كردن، غر زدن، آه و ناله كردن

Great. Lots of whining options. I’m going to start with some zuzeh keshidan, do a bit of neq’ing and round it out with a good qor hitting.

Frickin New Year. qor qor qor qor. qor. غر

Al qor = an Arab who whines about greenhouse effect.
